| Specialized Instrumentation
We have designed and built specialized instrumentation to aid in the measurement of low frequency rumble from aircraft take-off noise. The results of these measurements led to FAA's first approval for supplemental sound insulation funding to address specific low frequency noise and vibration issues.
National Parks Measurement and Modeling
We were responsible for modeling noise impacts in the entire Grand Canyon National Park, one of the largest areas ever modeled. In addition, we have assisted with noise measurements in the South Florida National Parks and Preserves. In the image at the right, the large black object in the foreground is a low-noise microphone system designed by Sanchez Industrial Design. The microphone is mounted in the bow of a small boat. What appears to be a large log floating in the background is actually a saltwater crocodile.
